Reconnection of Consumer Mains at the POA: Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)  SWMS Overview 

This task involves the safe reconnection of consumer mains at the Point of Attachment following maintenance, upgrade, or installation works. Hazards include contact with live conductors, arc flash, and working at heights. Controls include confirming isolation before work, testing prior to energisation, use of insulated tools and arc-rated PPE, and safe access via secured ladders or EWP. The area must be kept clear of unauthorised persons. Final testing and verification must be carried out in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 4836. All work must comply with WHS Regulations and the applicable service and installation rules.
